Yummy Lips!!

Perfect ImPerfections

So of course I think Im FABULOUS! lol But we all have our 

imperfections and things about ourselves that we need or want to change.

As we approach this new year, I wanted to 

dedicate this post to Change!

I bet we've all made numerous attempts at New Years Resolutions

But this time I'm going to take a new route.

Instead of naming all the bad things and stuff i want to change in this new year...

I'm going to appreciate what I already have, and the IMPROVEMENTS.. 

2011 will bring!

My Perfections =) 

(3 things i love about myself)

* SKIN - I've talked about my skin before in a previous post, http://aosdenae.blogspot.com/2010/12/foundation-my-trial-and-error.html
That being said, i love my skin. I love the tone. I'm not too dark (well sometimes in
the summer i am) and not too light! I'm perfect lol i love my cheeks =) and i dont get pimples! lol
Im Blessed!

* Hair- I have a nice grade of hair! I don't need a perm, which
is very rare for African American women. My hair is naturally
curly (Not always fun when u want a wrap etc).
If i want it straight i just have to wash, blow dry and  straighten and Im good to go!
When i was younger i had thicker, fuller and longer hair. Now, its
a decent length. I wear a lot of sew ins (weave) so you rarely see it. But yea, my hair is great!

* Eyes- So i dont wear eye shadow (YET) and after i apply my foundation, i would
put on eyeliner, mascara and maybe some lashes if im going out or something
and afterwards my eyes look AMAZING. And thats why its on my faves list. lol
They're a regular color, not big and bold but
they just stand out when done correctly and i think it makes my whole face appear....
better lol idk i just love my eyes!

My Imperfections =(

(3 things i would love to improve in the new year)

* CHUB-CHUB - I'd like to believe i handle being heavy set quite well lol.. The key

is to wear things that appeal to YOUR body type. Some females think they can wear any and everything #NotCool! lol On another note, its time to get healthy. It sucks sometimes not being able to wear what u envision. Kinda like you see what u want to wear in your mind, but when u go to the store you cant seem to find the right items... Yea, like that! SMH! ITS TIME FOR A CHANGE! 

* TEETH! - Yo... I just dont like them lol. If you've read my previous blog, http://aosdenae.blogspot.com/2010/11/just-smile.html
you will have more details. So i definitely hope next year i could
get some invasline or something lol i hate braces though. IDK.. but next year i
need to get this fixed!

* TOES-  They're not cute unless i have a pedicure.. and in the winter i dont get them done
as often so right now... they look horrible! lol My toenails are short and my feet are ashy lol

So i stayed around so it could patch up

Foundation- My Trial and Error

I've always had good skin.. I don't have acne or 

pimples etc. Its generally soft and red lol but it can get really dry from time to time.

Nothing Serious. 

That being said, i never really had a reason to buy foundation. Until 

i found a love of Cosmetics. 

The reason why i wear foundation now is because i love the finish look. 

It makes an ordinary person look like she just walked off a movie set 

or something lol which i love and i just think it makes one look beautiful 

anyways

It took me FOREVER to find the combination of items that work for me.

What works for one person may not work for you!

Even if they are the SAME complexion of you.. the brands and/or products

they use MAY not look the same on you.

Before you purchase any item, in my opinion, do your research first!

The product you choose should be based upon YOUR skin type.

You could be a yellow base tone or red. You can have oily or dry skin.

You can want light or full coverage, liquid or powder etc.

So its unique to the individual.

My Trail and Error!

My first time experimenting with foundation was a total #FAIL 

I recall trying use a "healthy" skin product and it 

turned out awful. It was a drugstore foundation, i believe i 

picked it up at a Walmart. Ummm  it was Maybelline Mineral Powder

Anyways, it was awful.. i hated it.. Blah

Then i tried Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse in Caramel (Dark 2)

Kay, at first i loved it of course. I didnt know that the lighting in one room 

can make you look totally different then what u really look 

to the human eye... or even outside lol

Soo... turns it photographed well however it totally flushed my face and i looked

super pale... and thats not cute...

at all

I then used, Revlon ColorStay for Normal/Dry Skin in 400 Caramel 

After the application, i realized it was wayyyyy lighter (not in color) but 

the weight of it was lighter than the Maybelline and it can onto my skin much easier.

Another thing is when applying it the color was closer to my skin tone then the previous 

products. For a while i used this alone but i realized that

I still had a yellow base but MY face isn't. So

instead of getting a WHOLE new product, i obtained a powder that

was red based. The powder I bought was IMAN Second to None Semi-Loose Powder

in Earth Medium.. and Now my face looks amazing.. Inside and outside of my

bathroo mirror lol Just apply some blush, eyeliner and mascara and your good!

****NOTE... FOUNDATION OXIDIZES MEANING WHEN YOU FIRST PUT IT ON YOUR FACE IT MAY BE A LIGHTER COLOR BUT WITHIN SECONDS/MINIUTES IT WILL DARKEN TO FIT YOUR SPECIFIC COLOR! 

THE TRICK IS TO FINE A FOUNDATION THAT COMES CLOSE!

Just Smile!

                                          Theres nothing more beautiful than a persons smile. 

Even though I hardly ever smile in my photos lol i think a smile is one of the most

attractive traits in any person!

I've always had kind of a goofy personality, so laughing was not a problem, but i never thought my

smile was pretty. And to this day, I still think i need big teeth lol. Like, 

don't get me wrong, my teeth are nice, but I've always preferred a BIG smile. So for

years and years, I have always smiled with my teeth not showing.

The first time, I actually realized that I did in fact had a decent 

smile was Sophomore year in High School. I guess thats

when I started to become a lady lol 

Now, that I've gotten older.. I came to the conclusion that

it really doesn't matter what you actually LOOK like when you smile 

(although, its always nice to look fab!)

The smile represents more of a feeling. A feeling of joy. It symbolizes happiness in a way that 

words may never be able to express.

So whenever you feel down, just remember how blessed you are... 

and Just Smile! 

LADIES!!

So, lately I've been trying to compensate for my small teeth lol 

So instead of using a lot of lip glosses.. I've experimented with lip stick. 

And, I absolutely love it! 

Growing up, I'm pretty sure most of us related lip stick to older women but

its becoming more popular for young ladies now.. and I

think this revolution is like AMAZING lol 

I only have 2 lip sticks that I absolutely adore right now and one is pink

and the other is red. However, I was watching a youtube video of this lady that i absolutley adore and she uses

 Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics - Lip Tar

When I get paid, Wednesday day to be exact lol I am ordering about 

3 different colors. Because it sounds like perfect lol

Cheetah Love!

Hey Guys! 

So, lately I've been wearing and seeing a lot of print on clothes, accessories etc. and 

Honestly, I LOVE

IT! I think the print esp. the animal prints are sexy and hard at the some time. This 

style is IN and it is NOW. So, you should basically go out and pick up a

 "Cheetah-licious" outfit. lol 

Not only am I noticing this amazing trend, the celebs and many High-Fashion models 

have been seen sporting such patterns! 

   So Many people think that wearing print is TOO much or too bold for the average female but I think it brings out a sexier and rather confident woman!

And confidence goes a LONG way. Maybe even more important then looks. Recently, I went print CRAZY! lol Seeing as though, I have a spending habit and not enough money  (yet), its kind of becoming a bad habit! But whatever. The first thing I bought was some leopard print flats. I absolutely love them.. and there comfortable. Secondly, I have some cheetah print leggings from forever21, well actually the plus size section so Faith21, there gray and black... really cute. 

But haven't worn them yet. I plan to go out soon, soo maybe I'll finally get to wear it!

I have a leopard bra and pantie set from WALMART! Extra Cheap and Extra Sexy!  

Haven't worn them yet either... but thats on a different subject lol.  And also from Walmart, I bought a thin animal print belt. Cheap once again, I couldnt past it up. And lastly, my mom just bought gave me a cheetah throw and i feels amazing.. I wonder wear she got it from because its extra soft!

Now! Personally, I dont believe you need to go ALLL the way Lady GaGa ish! 

The animal print is already risque. You dont have to go over board ya know.. Just my opinion.....  But Heres a few pix of my things...Enjoy!
